Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday February 15, 2020 at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL with Pastor Kyle Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Friday February 14, 2020 at the Funeral Home.

Richard Keith Ridlen, 71, of Oblong,IL passed away on Thursday February 13, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
He was born in Oblong, IL on June 16, 1948 to Harold R. Ridlen and Bernadine (Manning) Ridlen. On August 15, 1971 he married Roberta (Bradbury) Ridlen who survives.
Richard had worked for Marathon Petroleum Company for 25 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member 50 year member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Oblong. He served on the Crawford County Fair board for 50 years and was the announcer of the Annual Fall Follies Parade in Oblong for 25 years. He had also served on the Clothing Center board and the Oblong School Board (12 years), and installed TV antennas for 30 years. He also enjoyed gardening.
Richard is survived by his wife Roberta Ridlen, Oblong, IL. ; a son and daughter-in-law Brian and Kendra Ridlen, Hardinville, IL; a daughter and son-in-law Tawnya and Kyle Bailey, Oblong, IL. He is also survived by five grandchildren Jared Bailey, Joshua Bailey, Olivia Ridlen, Jenna Bailey and Jackson Ridlen along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Don Manning.
